Bulk Pricing

Volume pricing lets you stay price competitive across different buyer order sizes by setting discounts that apply automatically when a buyer's order meets a spend threshold.

Why it matters

Buyers on Qogita place orders of various sizes — some in the low thousands, others in the tens of thousands or more. Having a competitive base price doesn't guarantee you'll be competitive when buyers are placing larger orders. Other suppliers may offer volume discounts that make them the better-priced option at higher spend levels, meaning suppliers who only compete on base price can lose out when buyers are looking to place bigger orders.

Volume pricing ensures you're in the running across the full order range, not just at the bottom.

How it works

Qogita operates a set of buyer order tiers — fixed spend thresholds (€500, €1,500, €5,000, €10,000, €15,000, €25,000, €50,000, €75,000, €100,000) that buyers can reach when building an order from your inventory. When a buyer's order meets a tier, the discount you've set for that tier is applied as a blanket reduction across everything in their basket from your price list. You can only set discounts at tiers above your base MOV — so if your MOV is €10,000, volume discounts are available at the €15,000, €25,000, €50,000, €75,000, and €100,000 tiers.

You choose which tiers to activate and what discount percentage to offer at each. You can opt out of any tier by toggling it off — your base pricing applies to orders at that level instead.

Setting up volume pricing

There are two ways to set up volume pricing, depending on whether you're uploading a new price list or working with one that's already live.

When uploading a new price list

Volume pricing is set in Step 2 of the Add price list flow, immediately after you've configured your price list conditions. We pre-populate default discount values across all tiers based on what we typically see on the platform — you don't need to start from scratch. From there, adjust the percentages or toggle tiers on and off as needed. You must complete Step 2 before your price list goes live.

On an existing price list

If you have a price list already uploaded that doesn't yet have volume pricing configured, you can set it up at any time. From your Price Lists page, find the relevant list and click the pencil icon (Edit Conditions and Volume Pricing) to open the same setup screen.

Managing and updating volume pricing

Once volume pricing is set up, you can update it at any time using the same pencil icon (Edit Conditions and Volume Pricing) on any active price list. Adjust discounts or toggle tiers on and off as your strategy changes.

Changes apply to new orders only. Existing buyer commitments are unaffected.

FAQs

Do I have to activate all tiers? No. You can toggle individual tiers on or off. If a tier is off, buyers at that spend level see your base pricing with no discount applied.

Can I set different discounts per product? No — volume pricing is a blanket percentage applied across your whole catalogue for that price list. It's not product-specific.

Does volume pricing apply to pre-order price lists? Yes. The same Step 2 setup applies when uploading a pre-order price list, and you can update it via the pencil icon in the same way.

When does the discount apply to a buyer's order? The discount kicks in automatically when a buyer's order value from your inventory meets or exceeds a tier threshold. They'll see the reduced price reflected before checkout.
