ADR Dangerous Goods

ADR Dangerous Goods

1️⃣ Declaring DG in the Seller Portal

⚠️ Dangerous Goods Requirements — Step 1 of 5

⚠️ Important: If you mark a shipment as containing dangerous goods in the portal but do not physically mark the box, it will be returned to the sender.

When to Declare

You must indicate when a shipment contains DG LQ in the Seller Portal and put it in the correct packaging. This allows Qogita to correctly declare the shipment as containing LQ DG to the carrier.

Examples of DG products: Perfumes, Aerosols.

How to Declare in the Portal

  1. Go to Step 2: Create Shipping Label – Ship with Qogita
  2. Under Dangerous Goods Declaration, select Yes

Do not re-use boxes with DG markings for shipments that do not contain DG. Even if the markings have been covered with tape, the shipment will be delayed or returned.

2️⃣ Box Requirements

⚠️ Dangerous Goods Requirements — Step 2 of 5

⚖️ Maximum Weight

The maximum weight per box is 30kg. Above this, the shipment is no longer classified as Limited Quantity.

📦 Box Condition

Boxes must be new and undamaged. Damaged or used boxes may be rejected by carriers.

🔲 Double-Layer Boxes

Use double-layer shipping boxes to ensure enhanced protection and regulatory compliance.

3️⃣ Labeling Requirements

Dangerous Goods Requirements — Step 3 of 5

📌 Each box containing LQ DG must have both: (1) Orientation Arrows ("This Side Up") and (2) a Dangerous Goods (LQ) Label sticker.

📐 Size

The LQ marking must be at least 10×10cm with a 2mm black border.

This package was rejected by the carrier because the marking was only 8cm x 8cm.

🔖 Marking Type

The marking must be a sticker, not printed paper. Printed paper markings will be rejected because they can get torn in transit or damaged by rain.

This package was rejected by the carrier because the marking was printed on paper and taped onto the package.

✅ Condition

Markings must be unobstructed and undamaged. Packages with tape covering DG markings will be rejected.

◆︎ Orientation

The marking must be oriented as a diamond with the black portions at the top and bottom. Do not orient it as a square.

🛣️ Marking Type — ADR Only

The Ship with Qogita service only uses road freight, it does not use air freight. Do NOT use IATA (air freight) markings

✅ Use these symbols

❌ Don’t use markings that are not DG LQ. These are Air Freight Markings 🎨 Background Contrast

The LQ marking cannot be applied directly onto black wrapping. The borders must contrast with the background.

4️⃣ Documentation Requirements (DGN)

⚠️ Dangerous Goods Requirements — Step 4 of 5 | When prompted by portal

⛴️ Why It's Required

The DGN is required by carriers when transit includes a ferry operation — it is necessary documentation for multi-modal transport.

💡 Where to find the DGN: Seller Portal → Step 2: Create Shipping Label → Download dangerous goods note

📋 DGN Copies

When prompted by the Qogita Supplier Portal, sign and attach 3 copies of the Dangerous Goods Notes (DGN) to the box in a sealed pouch on the outside.

📦 Multiple Boxes

When shipping multiple boxes under one Airwaybill, attach DGNs to one box only.

When multiple boxes are grouped together and wrapped for collection on a pallet, the outer wrapping must contain all three of the following:

♦️ ADR LQ DG Marking

The black and white diamond marking must be clearly visible on the outer pallet wrapping.

↕️ Orientation Arrows

Orientation arrows ("This Side Up") must be present on the pallet wrapping.

🔤 "OVERPACK" Label
